ABC or multi-purpose fire extinguishers utilize a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. It chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350 deg F and coats surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator. The ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher comes with a dependable drawn-steel cylinder, all metal valve construction and a stored pressure design. It has a temperature range of -65 to 120 deg F and a 6 year Manufacturers warranty. There are two-options for valve materials where a chrome-plated brass valve body and stainless steel handle and lever are used in heavy-duty situations. For light-to-medium-duty, an anodized aluminum valve body, Handle and lever are used.
