NOMEX is the registered trademark for one of Dupont's high temperature-resistantaramid fibers with exceptional thermal stability and good resistance to degradation bya wide range of chemicals and industrial solvents. Nomex is rated as good by Dupontfor outdoor applications, however, Ultra Violet (U.V.) light does have the effect ofreducing strength slightly when exposed to prolonged sunlight.
