LEWCO Style 1532 AB is a lightweight, woven, asbestos free fiberglass fabric suitable for light sparks or spatters when used in welding, metal cutting and grinding operations. This material should be oriented as a curtain or draped downward to allow hot metal to roll off. This material should not be used to catch and hold molten slag. LEWCO has available other fabrics to catch and hold molten slag. This fabric has a special coating to prevent fraying and fly. Lewco 1532AB has been tested and meets NFPA 701-1999 fire tests for flame retardant textiles and films method 1. This fabric is made to conform to Mil-C-20079 Type 1 Class 2.
