Perma-Weld® solvent welding system adhesive is applied with a standard applicator gun and forms a permanent chemical bond between the PVC members. It takes an initial set in 10 min with complete adhesive curing in 8 to 10 hr. Perma-Weld® adhesive contains approximately 21% solids. If applied at a rate of 5 mil (0.005 in), the coverage rate would be 320 sq-ft/gal, resulting in a dried film approximately 1 mil THK. Perma-Weld® adhesive can be used on 20 and 30 mil (0.5 mm and 0.8 mm) jacketing and most Zeston® 2000/300 PVC insulated fitting covers where a totally sealed system is required, such as in the USDA market. Perma-Weld® adhesive is available in 1 qt (0.95 L) and 1 gal (3.78 L) containers.
