CHIL-PRUF™ CP-22/24 is an effective, asphalt-based, cutback, fibrated, vapor retarder coating for use over insulations on piping and equipment operating at low to moderately high-temperatures. Properly applied, CHIL-PRUF™ provides protection against atmospheric corrosives, chemical dusts, fumes, fogs and moisture. The cured coating forms a highly vapor-retardant, tough, durable and well-bonded finish. CHIL-PRUF™ CP-22/24 has a broad application range as a vapor retarder and weather barrier over many types of insulations, including fibrous glass, polyurethane foams, glass foams and other low-temperature insulation materials. It is not to be used with polystyrene foam insulation. CHIL-PRUF™ is recommended for use in cold and dual temperature service. As a vapor retarder coating, it is used to protect insulation over fittings, piping, tanks, tank heads, process vessels and equipment. CHIL-PRUF™ also provides protection for insulation applied on underground pipelines.
