SPI partners with our suppliers to provide sustainable, superior solutions to our customers. We do this by delivering products that contribute to the environmental wellbeing of our country. We are committed to providing solutions that save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We are proud to be a member of the National Insulation Association (NIA), an organization that has launched a new project as part of its "Mechanical Insulation Marketing Initiative". This initiative seeks to demonstrate that the mechanical insulation industry, or MI, is an industry that can help our country save energy, reduce CO2 emissions and create jobs in the immediate future.
We at SPI, along with the NIA, our contractor customers, and our suppliers are ready to assist. We first evaluate the efficiency of facilities, then provide MI upgrades that can reduce energy consumption by 30% or more. In some cases, because MI is a relatively low-cost, high-quality solution, returns on investment have been made in less than a year.
On the architectural side of our business, we continue to partner with our nameplate suppliers. We are committed to supplying solutions that provide a better living and working environment in schools, government facilities, and other buildings while reducing their carbon footprint. These solutions can improve acoustics, save energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Our suppliers are also committed to products that use high recycled content. This serves a dual purpose:
1. improves buildings' LEED points
2. fits with the federal and state governments' goals of "greening" their facilities.
These are unprecedented times for our country, and we look forward to doing our part to save energy costs, improve the environment, and support construction that will stimulate the economy.
